a double rainbow today

This is the sight that greeted me this morning as I set out to make the mornings coffee.

The rainwashed green out my back door. Again, my husbands ability to grow herbs exceeds my capacity to use them fast enough. It sure is great though, to walk out to the deck, scissors in hand, to cut fresh herbs whenever I need them. The Rosemary, Mint, Cilantro and Parsley are around the corner.

I love having herbs in the garden, right there. And they're so much better than the grocery stores! Which, for some reason, always amazes me.

Double rainbow is awesome. Nice yard? Why don't you send your DH over to mine? The mint is taking over the roses, the jasmine and the junipers are duking it out in the front yard, the back looks like a mish mash (but at least there are vegetable beds).

Never mind. I think I'll consider it a contest and see who wins.

Ooo, I so-o need to to plant herbs in pots. Maybe next year. In the meantime, it has been an 11 year struggle to get rid of the onion and chives I "inherited" from the previous owner!
