I Love Lists

  • I love making them.
  • I love checking things off of them.
  • I love comparing mine to others ..tehe
Check out Carolyn's lists on her Saturday Bits and Pieces post
love the 9 things list from Nieman's.
I'm going to get to work on my "pink thing" just as soon as I close this post.

Then I was following links while reading others blogs and perusing FayesSewingAdventures
and see that she has a list on her sidebar of 10 sewing goals for 2009. What a great idea.
Not a list of things she wants to make per se, as much as a list of skills to master or patterns to create and the like. I like that idea.

So, I'm off to make some lists too - I do all sorts of thinking while I'm at the cutting table, and the cutting table it is for me this evening.
What am I up to?

The pink thing.
A dress to wear next weekend to a wedding in Pentwater MI, using a fabric grouping that I've been meaning to get made up for a couple of years.

So, do you make lists?
What is on your list at the moment? If you write a blog post about your lists come back and link it here in the comments and I'll publish the links next week when I publish my lists.

That combination of fabrics is gorgeous. Can't wait to see the outfit.

I don't make lists. I probably should. And even if I happened to? I lose them.

I am brilliant at making lists, but rubbish at actually following them so when it comes to sewing I now just sort of go with the flow!

I love the fabrics which you are using for the pink thing! Gorgeous! Can't wait to see the final outfit. Enjoy Pentwater--you gave me flashbacks of many summers spent there as a child!

As for lists---mostly mental notes that I play in my head over and over! If they ever make it to paper,I love checking things off!

Beautiful pink thing! Love it! I have list upon lists. I have notebooks for everything. I have a blog notebook, a sewing notebook, a household notebook, etc. And sticky notes. Love me some sticky notes!

I love list. Make them and then lose them. Still like to make them.

I love lists and feel so good when I actually check things off. But, I have more trouble actually completing long term lists. I forget what was on them!

I adore lists! But I would be embarrassed to link any of them, because it would immediately be apparent that I NEVER follow through on any of them! I made a list for summer sewing, got through two garments and cut out a third, and am already dipping into other fabric and patterns. I am terrible!

And I LOVE that pink and orange combination!

I adore lists, and I adore marking things off of them. But my past sewing lists are sitting there mocking me, along with my newest sewing list. I don't think I will post it until I can mark something off.

Oh, I love lists too! I love those multicolored canvas covered notebooks from Target, I keep grocery lists, recipe lists, sewing lists (Mardel, mine also embarassing lately.) Then the "home project" lists, reminder lists, idea lists... books to read, websites to check, on and on. And I love standing in the produce aisle and checking things off. Strange, I know, but there you have it. K

I love lists. On Sunday evenings I write in journal form what I want to do each day of the week. It works very well for me because I LOVE checking off the things I've accomplished at the end of each day. It's a throwback to my teaching days when I had my lesson plans to get me through the school days.
Love your fabrics!

Yes. I love lists. I make lots of lists. I'm just thrilled that my iPhone has a Notes app, because I can make lots of lists and not have little pieces of paper about!

Love the ideas for the pink thing. Those are some really gorgeous fabrics.

I'm a big list maker too. In fact, I will add things to my list that weren't originally on it that I've completed just so I can cross it off!
I have a post about lists at

I'm looking forward to seeing the "pink thing" garments. I like the fabric and patterns. Lists are my thing, too. I did a post about my sewing list:

I love the idea of making lists.
But I am not making them, they stay in my mind, I guess...
This combo is TDF, I can't wait to see the outcome

After thinking about it for a while, I wrote down my lists and realized I have way too many plans! My lists are here: http://knitting-jenny.blogspot.com/2009/06/my-summer-sewing-lists.html

Longtime list maker here. It's a mental organization of my priorities that I really need to achieve what I want to achieve. That was a mouthful for a little sheet of paper!

Oh... I know this 'pink thing'. How could I forget this gorgeous fabric combination? I liked it then, when you wanted to use it for last years June Capsule and I looking forward what finally will become of it.

Yes, I LOVE lists, gives me a sense of purpose and then accomplishment.
That colour combo is magnificent...I think you'll look great at the wedding.

I think that you're a very talented knitter, but your sewing is just o.k. Maybe you should make a note of going back to sewing school, and getting more lessons on construction. While you're there, you might pick up a few courses on GOOD MANNERS, as you don't seem to have any.....
